Know the Libraries
The research expertise at Purdue Libraries include information literacy studies, evidence synthesis, research data management, as well as information studies in various disciplines including digital humanities, geospatial information, archival studies, open science, etc. Purdue Libraries faculty and research staff members collaborate with colleagues within Purdue or across universities to apply library science principles to the management of information and data. They are research and educational partners in the integration of information in learning and research projects.
Purdue Libraries promotes interdisciplinary collaborations with the emphasis of information integration in various research and learning opportunities. Our researchers are working in four Research Excellence Areas in Libraries (REALs) to provide information integration in learning, research and beyond.
Purdue Libraries Research expertise are organized around the following four areas. The Libraries Research Council consist the leaders of each REAL group.
